Apple Intelligence Device Eligibility and What to Know

Which devices support Apple Intelligence

Apple Intelligence requires a device with an A17 Pro chip or later — iPhone 15 Pro and above, and M-series iPads. It also needs to be enabled in iOS Settings and set to a supported language. Guests on older iPhones won’t see any of these features.

The model needs to download first

After a guest updates to iOS 26 or later and enables Apple Intelligence, there’s a period where the AI model downloads in the background. Until it’s ready, AI features in the app will either show a message explaining this or fall back to simpler behaviour. The settings page status indicator shows whether the model is ready.

The app checks for model readiness every 30 seconds when it’s in the “downloading” state, so it will update automatically once the model finishes — the guest doesn’t need to restart the app.

Common questions from guests

I can’t see the summary button

Either Apple Intelligence isn’t enabled in iOS Settings, the device isn’t eligible, the model hasn’t finished downloading, or the guest turned it off in the app settings. The settings page status indicator will tell them which.

The Siri response sounded different than usual

If the model wasn’t ready at the time, Siri used the fallback text instead. It will use the generated response once the model is available.

I don’t want AI features in the app

They can use the Hide Apple Intelligence Features toggle in app settings. This removes all AI prompts and references without affecting anything else in the app.

Info

Apple Intelligence features are entirely between Apple’s devices and Apple’s framework. There’s no park-side configuration, no data to review, and no server costs associated with them. If a guest has a problem with an AI-generated response, the right channel is for them to flag it with you and then report it via a support request — the response was generated on their device and can’t be retrieved or reviewed after the fact.
