Siri, Spotlight & App Shortcuts Introduction

Guests don’t always want to open the app to find something. Sometimes they’re mid-walk and want to ask Siri a quick question, or they’re searching their phone for pool opening times and just want an answer to appear. This chapter covers the three iOS features that make that possible — Spotlight Search, Siri, and App Shortcuts — letting guests get to park information without opening the app at all. They can search by voice, browse content hands-free, or check their booking just by asking.

    Release

These features require iOS 27 or later. Guests on older iPhones simply won’t see them — everything else in the app works as it always has.

    What guests can actually do

    • Type in iOS Search and see FAQs, events, places, the welcome pack, offers, routes, home sales, and their own booking appear without opening the app.
    • Ask Siri a question and hear a spoken answer — including straight factual questions like “is the sports bar open?” or “what’s the number for reception?”, answered from the park’s own information.
    • Say “what’s on this weekend at [app name]” and get a selection of events straight away — no follow-up question.
    • Search by voice from the lock screen — park information doesn’t need the phone to be unlocked (opening an item in the app, or asking about a booking, still does).
    • Ask Siri to show their booking.
    • Find a list of voice commands ready to use in the iOS Shortcuts app — nothing to set up.

This is an iOS-only feature set — there is no Android equivalent, and none is planned as part of this work. Android park apps continue to work exactly as before.
